I scoured the internet yesterday trying to find a small bathroom vanity for a client. While my preference would be to do something custom, that is not always in the budget. And I love a good challenge. The home has a dark cherry trim throughout and darker woods will be used to add a contemporary feel to the space. So, I was specifically looking for bathroom vanities in an dark chocolate or wenge finish. I thought I would share these options in case you are on the hunt for sleek, small vanities for your bath.
1. Ronbow Kali Contempo 23" from Quality Bath
2. American Standard Studio 22" (30"w, shown in sketch above)
4. Sonia Europa 24" from Home & Stone
5. Empire Contempo 24" from Quality Bath
6. Hutton Powder Room Vanity 30" from Restoration Hardware
While prices vary depending on stone tops and size, the price range for the above choices is $600 to $1600. One last note: Often people think that there isn't flexibility with these all in one units. False. Often you can purchase just the base unit and add your own custom stone top. For instance, vanity 4 by Sonia can be purchased without the ceramic top. Higher end models like the Sonia will also have options for one or two holes for faucets. Hardware can easily be replaced to match the rest of your bathroom. My pet peeve in renovated bathrooms is seeing a mixture of finishes...brushed nickel faucets and polished chrome accessories...yikes - be consistent!
